Letters to the Editor

Editor with muse

If you’d like to submit a letter to the editor for publication, please send it to editor@gadflyonline.com. Place the headline of the article you are responding to in the subject heading. If you don’t want your letter published, say so in the subject line. Please include your full name and a phone number where you can be reached, so we know who you really are. Don’t worry, that information won’t go up on the Gadfly site. Remember, brief letters have a better chance of getting published and what you send may be edited for clarity, length, grammar and spelling.

Writing for Gadfly

Gadfly welcomes article queries and unsolicited submissions. The best way to submit articles and story pitches is via e-mail to editor@gadflyonline.com.. Please send the text of your query or submission in plain text in the body of your e-mail, not as an attached file. It’s also a good idea to study up on Gadfly before you submit something. Check out a number of our articles, get a sense of our style, and think about how and why your submissionmight be right for Gadfly. Tell us a little about yourself as well—your experience and background as a writer and qualifications for writing a particular story. If you have clips you can send us via e-mail, or Web addresses of pages that contain your work, please don’t send everything. A sample of your best stuff is fine. Oh, and make sure you put the words EDITORIAL SUBMISSIONS in the subject line of the e-mail. If we don’t get back to you within three weeks, assume we’ve passed on your submission.

Submitting Artwork

Gadfly also accepts unsolicited photography and artwork. You can send your work via email as an attachment to artdirector@gadflyonline.com. To make it easier for us to view and process your work, please send them as a jpeg image at around 72 dpi. As with content submission, it’s a good idea to study the site before you send stuff, and to tell us a bit about yourself when you do. Please write ARTWORK SUBMISSION in the subject line of your email. If we don’t get back to you within three weeks, assume we’ve passed on your submission

Requests must include enough information to identify the Gadfly material (title, author, date, editorial department and URL) and your intended use.
