Sweat beads on her forehead stood like rain drops on a windowpane.\u00a0 The sky was orange.\u00a0 The sun was dying once again, sinking into the rusty cans.\u00a0 Her stomach was swollen with her legs bent and spread.\u00a0 Jim sat facing her vagina watching it palpitate.\u00a0 She held her breath and pushed downward trying to get it to come.\u00a0 Water shot forward, the blood trickled onto the couch.\u00a0 Slowly it began to ooze out.\u00a0 Jim could see the fine, silky hair as it began to form in front of him.\u00a0 Laura screamed.\u00a0 It was coming.\u00a0 Jim leaned forward and grasped the head and pulled slowly.\u00a0 Yes, it was coming.\u00a0 Jim sat back.\u00a0 The shoulders emerged, then the abdomen.\u00a0 The rest slipped out onto the couch.\u00a0 Laura sighed, taking a deep breath.\u00a0 Jim smiled, &#8220;It&#8217;s a boy. \u00a0See?&#8221;, while he pointed to the child&#8217;s penis.\u00a0 He tied the cord and severed it.\u00a0 He then carried the child into the kitchen and placed it on the table.\u00a0 The child made no sound.\u00a0 He pulled a long, wide blade from the drawer.\u00a0 He turned, standing over the child.\u00a0 He raised the knife above his head and brought it down across the child&#8217;s throat.\u00a0 The child made no sound amidst the blood and steel.\u00a0 Jim then cut the child into small pieces and listened as the disposal sucked the flesh clean of life.\u00a0 He walked into where Laura still lay and picked up the bloody placenta and carried it to the bedroom placing it on the bed.\u00a0 The afterbirth lay motionless.\u00a0 Jim went to Laura and helped her to stand.\u00a0 With Laura leaning on Jim, they walked into the bedroom where the placenta lay.\u00a0 Jim moved a chair for Laura to sit on.\u00a0 They both sat down
