Can be here<br \/>\nat any moment, in fact, probably are!<\/p>\n<p><em>I feel better.\u00a0 I\u2019m ready to whack<\/em><\/p>\n<p>roving the downstairs<br \/>\nmy bullshit existence; sticking their whiskers<\/p>\n<p><em>those suckers.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>into my business.\u00a0 I\u2019m forced<br \/>\nto think about this.<\/p>\n<p><strong>This Morning<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I wanna write the perfect love song<br \/>\nthis morning.<\/p>\n<p><em>I<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Forlorn, lost, wandering,<br \/>\nwondering, translucent,<br \/>\ntranscendent;<\/p>\n<p>re-\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 LUCK<\/p>\n<p>tant-<br \/>\nly<\/p>\n<p>giving in, now. . .<\/p>\n<p>Simply:<\/p>\n<p><em>can\u2019t believe it.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>found myself here<br \/>\nwith you.<\/p>\n<p><strong>A Little Help<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Do you remember<br \/>\nwalking around in Berlin<br \/>\nright after you broke up<br \/>\nwith your girlfriend?<\/p>\n<p><em>You feel that today in Baltimore.<br \/>\n<\/em><em>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 And if, if you could stop all this,<\/em><\/p>\n<p>And there were no words<br \/>\nleft, or rather,<br \/>\nthey had yet to form,<\/p>\n<p><em>you would \u2013 everything leaving,<br \/>\n<\/em><em>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 a stamp for some<br \/>\n<\/em><em>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 future postcard.\u00a0 Everybody walking;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>and the sunlight was so<br \/>\nnaked! and every \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 single \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 thing,<br \/>\nespecially every one<br \/>\nwas <em>heartbreaking.\u00a0 <\/em>Why was that?<\/p>\n<p><em>bleeding, loving, losing, laughing,<br \/>\n<\/em><em>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 tearing<br \/>\n<\/em><em>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 each other to bits, themselves<\/em><\/p>\n<p>You were so<br \/>\nraw,<br \/>\nand more than a little afraid<br \/>\nof stepping away, \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 stepping out \u2013<\/p>\n<p><em>apart, trying<br \/>\n<\/em><em>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 not to cry.\u00a0 Such a slow moan,<\/em><\/p>\n<p>you had hid long enough. . .\u00a0 And do you remember<br \/>\neven before that, walking around downtown Atlanta,<br \/>\nfeeling that time out of time,<\/p>\n<p><em>and all we can do is carry on.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>a deep extended breeze blowing, <em>You\u2019re not really here?<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><\/em>&#8212;-<\/p>\n<p>Jonas Kyle-Sidell is an adjunct English teacher at CCBC Catonsville.\u00a0 He is currently seeking book publishment for his book, &#8220;Outta Time, in Love,&#8221; a collection of these collage-like poems.\u00a0 He&#8217;s previously had poems published in the Los Angeles Review, Main Street Rag, Gargoyle, Pearl, Haight Ashbury Literary Journal, Smile Hon!
