Jesse Saldana&#8217;s poetry has such a notion as its driving philosophy. His words appear as images of the world, but their arrangement lays out a complex interior landscape. &#8220;Right at the intersection, \/ past the mausoleum, past the graves.&#8221; Place is paramount and the details offered seem indicative of a narrator who feels uncertain about his place amongst a given setting with a certain cast of characters. This is no expression of insecurity though, this portraits exist as a challenges to the reader. Do you notice?
