It\u2019s efficient, it\u2019s unsuccessful. It teaches, it depraves. It instructs, it leads astray. It educates, it corrupts. It improves, it degrades. It\u2019s positive, it\u2019s negative. It disciplines, it misleads. It bridles, it impels. It\u2019s methodized, it\u2019s chaotic. It\u2019s impartial, it\u2019s abuse. It\u2019s order, it\u2019s anarchy. It\u2019s dominance, it\u2019s submission. It\u2019s control, it\u2019s impotence. It\u2019s benefice, it\u2019s waste. It\u2019s help, it\u2019s damage. It\u2019s the answer, it\u2019s a question. It\u2019s improvement, it\u2019s decadence. It\u2019s a blessing, it\u2019s a threat. It\u2019s safety, it\u2019s danger. It\u2019s needed, it\u2019s pointless. It\u2019s justice, it\u2019s inequity. It\u2019s clean, it\u2019s dirty. It\u2019s salvation, it\u2019s perdition. It\u2019s clever, it\u2019s stupid. It\u2019s comforts, it\u2019s affliction. It\u2019s relieve, it\u2019s pain. But eventually, no matter what we think and where we stand, a prison is what it is: designed by and for men, it\u2019s none of these things and all of them at once, and really, no more and no less than a human cage.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>About the Author<\/em>:<\/p>\n<p>Born and raised in Switzerland, C\u00e9line Spierer moved to America by herself as a teenager.
