If Sam Axe Died
If Sam Axe died
on USA’s intense dramatic show,
I would have cried
for a character I always wanted to know,
and Burn Notice would have sighed
a sweet but bitter good-bye
to the beer-guzzling guy,
whose story would now lie
six feet deep under the brilliant blue sky.
Good-bye, Sam Axe, good-bye
for all this time that had to fly
to the possible end of a great show
and to remember a character
that I always wanted to know.
Unions
Let the unions hit the floor
Let the unions hit the floor
Let the unions hit the floor
Let the unions hit the… floor
Privatized why for (why for)
Can’t the rich stop taking more
(here we go, here we go, here we go)
One – Nothing wrong with state jobs
Two – Nothing wrong with state jobs
Three – Nothing wrong with state jobs
Four – Nothing wrong with state jobs
One – Someone’s got to give
Two – Someone’s got to give
Three – Someone’s got to give
Now
Let the unions hit the floor
Let the unions hit the floor
Let the unions hit the floor
Let the unions hit the floor
Let the unions hit the floor
Let the unions hit the floor
(Now)
Recession begins again (again)
Unemployment’s my best friend
(here we go, here we go, here we go)
One – Nothing wrong with state jobs
Two – Nothing wrong with state jobs
Three – Nothing wrong with state jobs
Four – Nothing wrong with state jobs
One – Someone’s got to give
Two – Someone’s got to give
Three – Someone’s got to give
Now
Let the unions hit the floor
Let the unions hit the floor
Let the unions hit the floor
Let the unions hit the floor
Let the unions hit the floor
Let the unions hit the floor
Side by side, we stand strong
You’re all worried now but you’re not alone
Jobs are slipping but we’re still here
Driven by fate not to be consumed by fear
Let the unions hit the floor
Let the unions hit the floor
Let the unions hit the floor
Let the unions hit the floor
One – Nothing wrong with state jobs
Two – Nothing wrong with state jobs
Three – Nothing wrong with state jobs
Four – Nothing wrong with state jobs
One – Someone’s got to give
Two – Someone’s got to give
Three – Someone’s got to give
Now
Let the unions hit the floor
Let the unions hit the floor
Let the unions hit the floor
Let the unions hit the floor
Let the unions hit the floor
Let the unions hit the floor
