The Vreckless Vrestlers series is a comic tribute to pop culture of the ’80s and ’90s – wrestling, toys, cartoons, comics and games of these times. Things which still give me lots of joy and will forever remain a great inspiration. For me, one of most important things about my comics is that I am doing everything myself, except translations. Script, design, drawing, preparing files for digital and print, promotion – I do it all without crowd funding or sponsors. 100% DIY. Of course, I have support from my wife and friends!
Issue #0 introduces the main players in this time-defying universe. Pictured in the purple coat is The Manager, hailing from Planet Excelsior, who travels through time and space assembling a team of the most advanced wrestlers the world has to offer. With all the excitement of a modern Gladiator fight, the contenders will soon be pitted against one another in pursuit of strength and glory.
The wait for issue #1 is over. Finally it’s fight time! The clash features a fratricidal duel between two Eastern European fighters – Crimean Crab and The Eye. In another facet of this issue, Vegan Cat shall learn some of the weak and strong points of Flatwood Monster. The favorite versus the enigma – it shall be a fascinating fight.
Each new match brings the contestants closer to the final brawl – who will make it all the way?
Łukasz was born in 1983 in Puck (northern Poland). He was educated to become a teacher and is now working as a graphic designer, keen on creating comics. Some of his achievements include a few zines and scenarios and a book. Occasionally, he appears in different places and titles.
