Drone Man

My favorite pit bull Clarence
His savage sharp teeth
Protrude from his drooling mouth
Mimicking a Lion in starved rage
Carefully, cautiously
We go on a pleasant stroll
Over green hills and through
Valleys of yellow, laughing lilies
His studded leather collar sturdy
The short leash tautly secure
We arrive at the Blue Lagoon
Flocks of diverse birds gather
Joyful choirs singing glorious poetic choruses.
I flash a picture before Clarence
An image of the suspected target duck
Sketched personally with my presidential pen
I tie a sacred red, white and blue bandana
Over my pit bull’s bulging eyes
Effectively blinding him
I remove all restraints
I issue stern and proper binding orders
“Go and Kill!!!” I bark out
Off he rides into the sunset
Moments later Clarence returns
Colorful feathers fill his obedient mouth.
SO NOT SORRY!!!
Our suspected terrorists
Were a family on the way to a wedding!?!
Welcome to the world of collateral damage.
Thank Allah it was in Yemen
’Cause if that shit happened here
We would Nuke ’Em.

Executed Without Trial: Alleged Crime Selling Cigarettes

Eric Garner I watched you die
No loving farewells, no last goodbye
Simply hanging out on the street
Getting hassled by the heat
“I’m tired of you messing with me”
A sentiment many say honestly
’Cause in Amerikkka it’s a sin
To have darker skin
Eric Garner you were assassinated
Oh how much you were hated
’Cause those there to serve and protect
Showed contempt and no respect
Eric Garner I watched you die
But hear this anguished cry
Let it be known
You did not die alone
For in that choking hate
So died my hope for the state
Eric Garner we shall not forget
Another Emit Till to regret
Eric Garner I watched you die
But now is not the time to cry
They killed you in a hurry
Denied you a fixed jury
Now is the time to fight
Now is the time to make it right
We have a solution
Its name is revolution
Eric Garner I watched you die
The question is why?
I know the answer
And so do you sir
Racism is an institutionalized thing my friend
And it’s high time to bring it to an end
Agree with me when I say
“It’s got to end today”

Pandora’s Box

Judge a man by his clothes, how were you born?
Christ the King – he knows a crown made of thorns
Fascists in business suits promoting lies
Press the tragic button everyone dies

Pandora’s Box is empty
Do you have eyes to see?
Pandora’s Box is empty
Slaves in the Land of the Free
Pandora’s Box is empty

War is declared, I got scared full of fright
Anger surged inside, what gives you the right?
Across the globe, a world away they say
The evil infidel, we’ll make them pay

Pandora’s Box is empty
Do you have eyes to see?
Pandora’s Box is empty
Slaves in the Land of the Free
Pandora’s Box is empty

Fracking in the Earth water is destroyed
Businessman makes money he’s overjoyed
Who cares about the future I got mine
This hell hole was once Eden divine

Pandora’s Box is empty
Do you have eyes to see?
Pandora’s Box is empty
Slaves in the Land of the Free
Pandora’s Box is empty

There’s a golden chest
Treasure is the best
Gold, silver, Mammon
Endless war and famine
Hatred, greed, strife
All the pains of life

Children singing praise to the god of lust
Bow before the priest, give man all you trust
Stalin, Hitler – demagogues of pain
In the institutions find the sane

Pandora’s Box is empty
Do you have eyes to see?
Pandora’s Box is empty
Slaves in the Land of the Free
Pandora’s Box is empty
